How it all began...
What began as a small obsession—tasting every matcha in the coffee shops—quickly transformed into a true passion. After comparing and analyzing every nuance, always striving for excellence, we decided: why not go straight to the source? For months, we tested over 100 matchas from small producers in Japan… then created our own blend to craft a matcha that perfectly reflects our vision: pure, smooth, vibrant, and of exceptional quality. This is how Dolae was born. A brand conceived with intention, passion, and a commitment to excellence that has never wavered, to offer a matcha that feels good and seamlessly integrates into a daily ritual. The essentials about our ceremonial matcha
Our matcha comes from Kagoshima, in southern Japan. It is from the first harvest and the Saemidori, Okumidori and Asanoka cultivars, renowned for their sweetness and delicate umami.
It is traditionally stone-ground, then freshly ground to order and shipped weekly from Japan.
This is what guarantees its bright green color, its mild taste, and its total absence of bitterness.
